I'm a lawyer and patent attorney based in Sydney, where I'm currently Lead Counsel at Canva. With a background in software engineering, my focus is on patents relating to software and AI inventions. Recently I have been building practical AI tools for my own work as well as in house colleagues. Most of it is unsurprisingly related to IP: patent analysis, prior art searching, and patent workflow automation. These not only help my patent team but inventors work more efficiently as well.
