Barrister | AI Governance, Legal AI & Regulatory Technology
Bringing legal and regulatory expertise to the development, evaluation and governance of AI systems.
Request an introI’m a barrister of England and Wales (non-practising), with experience spanning financial regulation, compliance, technology consulting and AI evaluation. My background includes the Financial Conduct Authority, Moody’s and Accenture, and I hold an LL.M. in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship from Cornell Law School. My current work includes specialist legal AI evaluation and regulatory technology development. I co-authored Compliance Cards, research on automated EU AI Act compliance analysis, contributing legal analysis and suggestions for compliance assessment. My research interests centre on AI governance and the legal and institutional arrangements needed for meaningful oversight of advanced AI systems. Alongside this work, I am developing an early-stage technology product informed by my legal and regulatory experience. I welcome consulting engagements and research and product-development collaborations.
“My most Legal Quant moment was identifying a major organisational problem in how large firms manage compliance and regulatory filings, and developing a software prototype to address it. Having experienced the fragmented information, manual coordination and reliance on individual knowledge firsthand, I combined my legal, regulatory and technology consulting experience with AI-assisted development to design and build the prototype.”
